A sigh of relief

I wanted a laptop to be purchased. I was one of the very few persons in the modern era without even a PC at home. So this feeling of seclusion from the rest of the world started to haunt me a lot and finally I did purchase a laptop just a couple of days ago.

Then suddenly a thought came to me which made a mockery of me saying that I was a real fool having purchased a laptop with just four months to go for the assembly elections. During the last assembly elections several freebies were offered for the general public, out of which the prime one being the benevolent gifting of televisions. So there is every chance of any of the major political parties to come up with an idea of offering free computers to the general public.

If that has to happen, really there is every reason of me to be called as a fool.  If I had to wait for another three to four months, who knows-a laptop may just crawl in to my house by itself. Blaming myself for the hastiness that I showed in buying a laptop, I just went to meet one of my friends in my office for a casual talk. As we were discussing about the coming elections, I could not let myself tight-lipped when it came to talk about freebies. Infact, he was one of the very fortunate persons who went on to get a free televison offered by the government.

The televison, it seems, worked excellently for a week. I left the place with a nice sigh of relief.
